Frequently Asked Questions

  • She Dares to Rise is a movement that celebrates fearless women who have dared to break barriers to be their authentic selves. At its heart, it’s a storytelling-based conference. We bring incredible women leaders onto the stage to share their real, plot-twist life experiences, the moment that changed everything. Our theme this year is The Power in the Pause, The Bravery in the Shift.

You’ll hear stories like a gay woman who once served as a bomb squad commander and is now a mayor. A blind woman who, in her 40s, decided to learn how to surf and now surfs for Team USA. A little girl who grew up on a dairy farm and is now a commercial pilot. And more.

Our mission is to ignite courage, amplify voices, and build a community where women rise together. Our vision is to inspire a world where women lead with courage, connection, and authenticity.

  • My personal journey. When I was 15, both of my parents abandoned us, and I was left to raise three younger siblings. I was homeless, I worked multiple jobs while going to school to support them. I worked hard and eventually graduated college and earned a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Purdue University. Afterwards, I joined Intel as a senior process engineer. I did quite well at Intel but I did not feel fulfilled. So when the company announced its workforce reductions, I volunteered to leave.

I know there are many fearless women out there, like myself, who break barriers to be their authentic self. I wanted to create a platform for women like us to share our stories and I wanted the world to hear them.

  • An intentional space designed for genuine heart-centered connection where you feel seen and heard. Our speakers will share their raw and real stories of how they break barriers. Then we will have panel discussions with an interactive Q&A from the audience, followed by intentional networking.

  • This year is especially meaningful to me for three reasons.

    1. It’s my second year as a full-time entrepreneur.

    2. It is our second year hosting this conference.

    3. I am sponsoring eight Latinx youth to attend so they can see what their future could look like.

  • While our speakers are women, this conference is open to all genders. It is for anyone who believes in lifting women up, honoring stories, and creating spaces where people feel seen.
